Irony

As I am looking at the headlines in Google news this evening I notice another story off by itself  http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2008/sep/11/cern.particlephysics on the Hadron Collider. I stopped for a moment and thought. This is almost like something out of a movie. As everyone is concentrating on something else this is going on. And could be, what. End of the earth? Disaster? Nothing? I don't know. But as scientists search deeper into the unkown the risk to all of us gets greater. Perhaps some things are best left alone.
