What reason could there possibly be, in any way sane and right, is Elizabeth May doing the United Nations Climate Change Conference? As leader of her party she failed to even earn 1 single seat in the house, she has lost any credibility she may have once had by basically abandoning her own party for personal gain. What gain was that no one is sure of. Except perhaps now she is even more a laughing stock. Canada is still a respected presence on the world stage, even with the antics of the opposition parties. She is openly attacking our Country and it's efforts on environmental issues.

She doesn't understand the fact that the whole Country thinks she's a loon, and overwhelmingly denied her of any voice regarding the environment, or any other issue facing this Country. She ignores the Liberals record on the issue but attacks the current PM accusing him of ignoring the problems(if there are any). Also, she says that she has used her own personal money to fund this trot across the globe, and taxpayers did not pay anything. I don't believe that for a second, and it should be fairly simple to find out. She has proven herself to be a liar, and a turncoat. Why should we believe this? Elizabeth May needs to shut up, and stay out of legitimate Government business, or conferences.

As we prepare to leave for the rally today on Parliament hill, a few things become very clear. My children are more aware of politics, more aware than they ever have been. They want to show their support for Canada and stop "the bad guy". Kids have such clarity. They have also expressed their feelings on the mission in Afghanistan, saddened that our casualties there have continued to grow. Can you imagine Mr. Dion as the commander and chief of the Armed Forces? That is far more scary than his controlling the economy.

People may not understand the political process and are baffled by how this coalition is legal, and the Liberals are calling the Canadian people stupid for this. We also don't understand how a murderer or rapist receives the lenient sentences they do. I suppose that makes us stupid too. But to quote a line "Stupid is as Stupid does", I hope Canadians band together today in all our glorious stupidity and show support for Canada, and strengthen the effort to prevent the coalition from ever getting to power.

I try and teach my children this, and I start at a very young age. It is a very basic concept, being a member of a society. The law, and correct behaviour. It is not against the law to be rude, but it is not the best way to behave, for example. Just because somewhere in the anals of the constitution does it say that a coalition is possible, doesn't mean it is the right thing to do. And I'm pretty darn sure, that when the constitution was written, the Bloc was not around and a seperatist party being part of said coalition was never dreamed of. Who could ever imagine that a group of people who's sole purpose was to break up the Country would be given so much power. I don't think anyone thought that it was possible for a party Leader to abandon all his principles, just to get into power.

There has been a lot of talk from the left, that Quebec bashing is rampant and unfair. But again, they dilute the truth. It is not Quebec bashing, it is bashing of the seperatists. There is a difference. If you want Quebec to seperate from Canada you are a seperatist. That should be fairly simple and clear. Anyone that feels that way has no right, no business, and no place in deciding the future of the Country. One of the things that needs to, and should, come out of this mess is the removal of the Bloc from the house of commons. Either run candidates in all ridings or be gone. The same for E. May. Either get some votes and earn a place in parliament or be gone. Simple. This is not 1925. And we will not stand by and let anyone make deals behind closed doors, and take over the Country. Period. That is treason. Isn't it? That is not the democratic way, and for all those people, Dion, Layton, and May, whom seem to hold democracy in such high accord they have a funny way of showing it.

I am watching Mr Dion on CTV as I write this. I can see him staring intently at the screen trying to read the prompter without stumbling too much. I see him as a figure head put out to front this farce and try to persuade Canadians we were wrong in denying him the win in the last election. He says that we should be mature and "let's get on with business". Gee, wouldn't that be better served by supporting the elected Prime Minister? Oh and we should only be concerned about him being PM for a few months? In case he forgot you LOST the election! You have no right, no mandate, and no business sitting as PM. None.

The fact that this deal was cooked up long ago and in no way is a result of the recent economic update proves that we can't trust anything this man or Mr. Layton has to say. Do I have prove of this? Yes. do you really think the Bloc. Ndp, and the Liberal party started, and met, and arranged all of this in a matter of a few days? Give me a break. They can't decide what pizza to get that fast. Allowing the Bloc to further it's cause at the expense of our Country and spitting on taxpayers wishes is enough to cause a riot. I hope it does not come to that. I for one do not promote violence. But we will not allow Mr Dion and Mr Layton pay off the Bloc with OUR money to pass bills, laws, and policy's we did NOT give them a mandate to do.

The opposition parties are so consumed with getting the power they don't deserve, that they have forgotten about the most important aspect of this whole thing. The citizens of this Country. All of us. Everyone that calls themselves a Canadian should be outraged and offended. This is not about language, or religion, or territory. This is about money, and power. Jack Layton had no intentions of working with the elected Prime Minister, that is evident from working out the deal with the Bloc a long time ago. He's not a good loser, but a big loser.

Taking away the money for votes would cause major financial problems for the opposition, but it is the right thing to do for the citizens of the Country. Especially when the Bloc also receives this funding. There is no way that Canadians should be funding a party that has no candidates outside of Quebec. The Bloc's mandate is to separate Quebec from Canada, how can they expect the rest of Canada to fund that? At the very least that needs to change.

Every citizen of Canada has the right to vote in an election of members of the House of Commons or of a legislative assembly and to be qualified for membership therein.

That is taken right from the Constitution of Canada, and is our right as Canadians. That is the LAW. How is the coalition ensuring that Canadians rights are protected? They are not, and our rights are the last thing on their mind. The voters of this great Country did not choose to put them in power and they have no right to have it, by any means other than another election. We would prefer not to be facing all this B.S. and get on with our lives, but going back to the polls is preferable to the alternative.

You would have to be living under a rock to not have heard of the talks about coalition, meaning the opposition parties are talking about assuming control of the Country. Some might say only a moron might not know of such things, after all it is all over the media and political blogs. However, many people do not know. Most Canadians are busy going about their lives getting ready for Christmas and secure in the thought that another election is not in the immediate future.

My wife was astonished to hear the news, and asked how that was possible. Many of her friends were similarly surprised. You see, most Canadians don't have time for daily political B.S and childish rantings. They have enough real issues and children to raise. I suppose that could be a reason they thought they might get away with it, knowing that most taxpayers couldn't dream that they would stoop so low.

I am by far and away not the most knowledgeable person about political law, but I do know a rat when I see one. The opposition says they have no confidence in the ELECTED government. Really, because the government has plans that they wouldn't implement? Or because their wallets are threatened? We will see. Even the old dogs have joined in behind back doors, trying to come up with a plan to steal the Country without going before the Canadian voters to earn it. Some may say it is legal. But that does not make it right.

I think it is time to do away with the current system. The past opposition fiasco has proven that it is not even needed to run the Country. And in fact, lessened our pride in the system. We elected the Prime Minister, not Dion, or Iggy, or that old sneering has-been. So, we don't really care if they agree with the current Pm's policy's. They wouldn't, because they have policy's WE don't agree with, as taxpayers, as voters, and we told them that very clearly last election. So now they think instead they will latch on ever tighter to our money and steal the highest office behind our backs? I am disgusted. I am ashamed. I cannot believe we have a system in this Country that makes that even remotely possible. The Bloc needs to go, the opposition needs to go. We need to elect a Leader, and reps from all Provinces, and that's it. Yes, there will be a lot of people that won't like that. Most of them will be looking for a real job.

The planet is burning up, or the planet is going to freeze. They are not sure which but it is going to take billions upon billions of dollars, to save us from whatever it is that they are not sure it is we need saving from. But this topic caught my eye and I plan to do whatever I can to help out in this green movement. So whatever your position is in this battle for the environment, make sure you get plenty of rest, and play safe.

I don't know when it happened or what event transpired bring us to where we are today. It may be that we were blind or unwilling to believe that such things could happen in our Country, that it could only happen somewhere else. We would never allow such things to happen in Canada, because we are civilized, tolerant, and just. Yet it is happening, right here, right now, in the true north strong and free. I think perhaps it has been a long time that most people have said those words, or perhaps don't remember were they came from even. Our Country, our home and native land, is being subverted and destroyed right before us. Our values, laws, and dearest beliefs are being challenged and squashed without a fight. In 2007 a young 16 yr old girl was murdered by her father because she wouldn't wear a scarf around her head. Not that a young woman being murdered by her parents is a unique thing, it does happens and the reasons for it are varied, and horribly wrong. But this is different. Apparently it is justified. By them, and us. We did not arise in outrage that a life could be taken for such reasons. It is argued that her crime was against God and that punishment was mandatory. Any god that demands death for such actions is no god in my mind. But alas, I digress. There are many who believe that this is right, and many who say otherwise. It is not up to me to force my beliefs on another being. But it is up to me, and all of us, to decide what we will allow in our Country, and what we will not. The killing of any human being, for any reason, is a crime, Period. I'm not going to get into discussions about war or abortion, that is a whole different subject. We are dealing with the killing of people over religion. It doesn't matter what religion it is, it is unacceptable. Across the world in history such things have happened, but not as a way of life. The hijab is a word that most of us have never heard until recent years, and to now know that is a reason to kill just makes me want to vomit. Just exactly why are we in Afghanistan again? Are we not there fighting and dying to stop exactly this sort of thing? And now it is happening right here on our communities and we do NOTHING! I believe it is time we stood up and said no, not in Canada.

What a horrible thing to have to say. It doesn't matter how hard you try to teach right from wrong, some children have to learn the hard way. About 3 weeks ago the police show up at our door looking for our 15 yr old son. Apparently he has been seen with an ipod that was stolen from his school. As things turn out he did take the item from the library (he says) and brought it to a friends house. To make a long story short he was charged with possession of stolen property. Since then twice has tried stealing lighters from my wife and I. Yes lighters, not a big deal. But it's not the item, it's the stealing. The act is what is the problem. We've punished and talked over and over. In one ear out the other. We don't know how to get through to him. What can a parent do when talking or punishing doesn't have an affect? At this point I don't have an answer to that. But we're trying.

I admit, I am an idiot when it comes to understanding the ins and outs of economics. After all, I am not an economist, nor have I had any formal schooling on the subject. This is probably true for a lot of Canadians. When we see in the headlines that Ontario is now a "have-not" province we are not sure what that really means. Yes, we know we don't have a lot of money, we know that we don't have a lot of new jobs, and we know that nothing is going to change any time soon. So, what is the difference? In the past 5 years or so nothing has changed for the average Canadian, except the price of gas. It has been very tough for a LONG time. And when we read about transfers that are going to Quebec in the billions, and then they are offering $7.00 a day daycare, it starts to make sense. We've been ripped off for years, and for billions of dollars. We have been carrying them and their lazy attitudes and pathetic work ethic for years, and now we are paying for it. We can't carry everyone, some provinces have to pull their own weight, or at least try to. But if one of those provinces doesn't care about the country as a whole then how is that going to affect the whole country? Like now, for instance. Ontario a have not province. Thanks Quebec, the buck stops here. I think it's time for new laws and regulations about getting equalization payments, like a minimum employment rate or something. And day care prices that are standard with the rest of the country. AND, they get their health care on their OWN side of the river, where they pay their taxes. Oh, and that thing about getting new immigrants to sign. Good luck, and you wonder why no new businesses want to set up shop there.

I have been fed up with this issue for a long time, and they keep throwing it in our face in between cashing the welfare checks from US. The CANADIAN taxpayer, giving THEM money to enshrine THEIR language while they defy the UN, the constitution, Human rights, and equality. Quebec is a racist, hypocritical, and delusional embarrassment. Canada needs to end this disgrace now, and sever the ties completely. What is love?

Love, something so elusive yet so abundant. We see it all around us everyday, in so many different forms and expressions. Animals love, or is it compassion? Is there a difference? Or is compassion a part of love? Can you have compassion without love? We can witness a killer whale nurse it's young, or a Lioness feeding her cubs and protecting them. Is that love, or compassion? Does it matter? Is maternal instinct a product of love? Can one have a maternal extinct but not feel love, or compassion? How can you explain the murder of a child by it's mother? In the wild, it is very difficult actually to find an example of a mother of any species killing her young for no apparent reason. The "avoid killing your own kind" mindset is very prevalent in the wild. There are cases where some mammals will actually eat their young before they are killed by a predator. But to them, it is believed to be a form of protection. So, are humans the only species that murder their own kind? No, not entirely. But, almost exclusively the only species that mothers kill their young for no reason. And no, wanting to go out to a club and practising new pole dancing routines is not a reason. Which brings me back to my question. Love, compassion, are they the same or intertwined and does everyone have it, or want it? I don't know. I can only talk about the love in my life. My wife, and my children. My wife, the only person in this whole big world that I deemed worthy to have my babies. Her strength, wisdom, and compassion unmatched by anyone. The only person I have ever met that can fill the void that I was feeling. My babies, 2 incredible little girls that make you smile just seeing them. Their sweet voices like little angels at play that can make you grin without even noticing. Kill them? Hurt them? As god as my witness I would sacrifice my very soul to protect them, and woe unto thee that would do them harm, for I would become death's own messenger in response. SO in answer to my own question, love and compassion, are different. But they are the same. You can have one, or the other , or both. But. If you have either of these feelings in your heart, mind, or soul. Your babies are safe, in your care.

Missing whales a disaster?

Apparently 7 whales, are missing and feared dead in the Puget Sound area of Vancouver. It has been called a "disaster" by a scientist at the " Center for Whale Research on San Juan Island". Now, when I first heard that I wondered how any group of researchers would admit to losing that many of something they were monitoring. So I looked in to how they do the monitoring. They listen. Apparently they stick very sophisticated microphones in the water and they listen, to the whales singing. They do not have collars with GPS or anything that outdated. They just stick a mic in the water and listen for whale songs. I suppose they get good at recognizing different tunes. Now of course, to be fair, they work approximately 60-70 days over the course of the summer. Gee that sounds like gruelling hours. In truth the population of whales just in that area has grown and shrunk over the past 10 years but has remained fairly stable. And because they have no proof, or anything to show that they just didn't "get bored and go somewhere else", they raise an alarm and declare them dead and "oh my god" it's such a horrible thing. Now, if there was GPS collars on all 7 whales and they washed up on shore stone cold dead then yes, it would be a concern. But no, there is none of that. Perhaps they should turn down the mp3's and turn up their mics in the water.

I wrote about this a long time ago, and felt this would be a great thing for creating power and muting the enviro-idiots. Now the wave farm is up and running, powering 1,500 homes! I know the picture looks like submarines (which is cool) but that's not the case. Using nature to power pistons and generators is brilliant and cost effective. This type of technology should be used around the world and we can cut back on our oil consumption. Instead of the brain dead city council here in Ottawa coming up with (stupid) ideas like using snow in the summer for air conditioning, they should consider this for the Ottawa river. By the way, My idea for converting snow to steam for HEAT in the winter is a better idea. But of course we pay them the big bucks as taxpayers to hear them talk about garbage pickup for a month. Or denying parts of the city waste bins in favor of street benches. How can you fight stupidity like that? That lack of intelligent thought also rears it's face in the transit planning, where they say digging a tunnel under the downtown core would be cheaper than planning an above ground train system like the SKYTRAIN in Vancouver. I guess making sense is not in the job description.

A nation within a nation's nation, or First nation?

Here we go again, in Ottawa plans to build a bridge have run into a snag, or a fishing line, I'm not sure which. Now it might be a question of actual importance, or it might be once again Canada being subjected to blackmail. We all have heard of the numerous claims of land ownership, land claims, and demands for compensation for land. Land, land, land. It seems, they own it all. Reports of extortion in Ontario north of Toronto of home and business owners being forced to pay money or face vandalism. Blockades seem to pop up whenever they don't get what they want. I wonder what would happen to me if I blocked off the 417 because I wasn't happy with the current pension setup. I could proclaim my own "day of action". The only trouble is, there are laws in this Country and I would end up in jail. But apparently those same laws do not apply to everyone that lives here, only to some of us. Now I am not saying that there are not legitimate issues involved here, but rather how the process is changing the public perspective on it's legality. There is no doubt that Native Canadians contributed a great deal to Canada, however that being said, the time to settle this issue once and for all is upon us. When will it ever be enough?

Every time I hear of another flood about to hit New Orleans, I wonder why there are people still living there. Every year we hear of people killed from tornadoes, living in trailers, in tornado ally. It's like building a house at the base of a volcano and then demanding someone save your house from the lava. Now the 3rd world is demanding water. Ok everyone needs water, but stop having babies and do something about it, they have an army of people who stand around and whine and expect the world to fix all their problems. China has done something about it's ridiculous birthrate. Survival of the fittest. If they can't manage to provide the things they need, then obviously something needs to change. Why is it always us? I'm not talking about disasters that happen and nobody could do anything about it. I'm talking about the repeat instances that happen over and over. If there is no water there and they can't get water there then MOVE. Oh but there are millions of people and there is no where to go! And who's fault is that? Gee, theres no water here, we can't feed ourselves, so let's have more babies and create more shortages and then just demand the world fix it. Nice. If Canada were to experience a problem of our own creation we would fix it on our own. Right?

The world (some of them) leaders are in Quebec discussing the economy, a global crisis it is being called. After one day I guess it has all been solved because now the discussion has turned to the health of the French language. Really. What about the health of Canada? If the French language is still in jeopardy even though it has an entire province to flourish basically alone, then perhaps it isn't all that important after all. We all know English is all but illegal there. The French president said, QUOTE "The French leader also used the visit to talk about Quebec's deep ties with France, saying they should never become the wedge that divides a united Canada:.UNQUOTE. Article can be seen here. Oh but this didn't go over well because the Bloc heads and separatists have issues with that, go figure. They even had the audacity to discuss human rights. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the UN rule Quebec was in violation with it's bill 101? The hypocrisy is growing more quickly than the propaganda of Climate Change. Stop the boat I want to get off, and not on the dark side.

David Suzuki a Fraud?

Now it seems we are the problem. Now he is not talking about CO2, or global warming, or climate change. Now it’s just us. Humans. The scourge of the planet, that somehow all the changes are our fault, we are killing everything. I wonder if he has ever heard of “the natural order of things”? If you are a religious person and we are all children of god, and we have a mandate from GOD to be who we are. If you believe in the big bang theory, then we still have every right to be here, and evolve in a way that is natural, for us. We are not invaders from Mars. But I suppose, next we will be hearing from Mr Suzuki that WE are responsible for the climate on Mars now, since he couldn’t prove it here.

There are many scientists that say the opposite of what Al Gore and Mr Suzuki have been shovelling to us. As of late many people are turning to the sky and examining the sun instead. April 22, 1970 was the first :Earth Day”. Yes they have been scaring us with Global Warming, Climate Change, whatever, for 38 years now! Way back when Fonzy was just starting to grow up we were getting the pitch to save the planet. I am not much into light readinglike this, but I am intrigued to see phrases like “highly unlikely” and “reasonable to assume” in a scientific report. In this report it also asserts that the CO2 levels in the atmosphere today are LOWER than they were in the Earth’s distant past. It is this “uncertainty” that drives my disbelief of anything tied to this topic. This report states that by the year 2100 if the “scenarios” are correct, carbon emissions will have dropped to ZERO. Enter the Global Warming Swindle. This documentary was aired on Channel 4news and received a variety of responses. Naturally, not well received by those that would have us believe we had 10 years till we all burned up. Another report of interest here in 2008 is of course, not based on CO2, but rather the sun. Imagine that.

Now let’s take a trip through space shall we, to Mars. Now I would never attempt to discredit NASA but I do believe being told over and over by the experts that Mars was a very DRY and HOT planet. Except perhaps for the Ice crystal fog during the day, just above the surface, and -130 degrees temps at night. Amazing how a little probe up there on the service could flush 50 years of scientific (fact) down the toilet. In fact it is now known that water DOES exist on Mars. And where there is water, there is, or has been, life. SO, before we all start living in treehouses and crapping in the bushes again like animals. Let’s take a good look around us, we are a product of this Planet, nothing more, and it will be here long after we are gone. Unless of course the asteroid hits in 2012, but that’s another story.

For too long now I have watched my Country held hostage by a small vocal province of....well, non Canadians. If you talk to almost any person that lives across in the "dark side" they are a Quebecer first and a Canadian second. In fact Gilles Duceppe said that very thing after last nights election. And another thing, without the Bloc and their merry band of traitors Mr Harper surely would have easily formed a majority Government, which would greatly benefit us all. Which brings me to my point. If it doesn't benefit the WHOLE Country then we don't need it. Especially in the house of commons. Why are we fighting so hard and giving so much $$$ to keep Quebec in Canada when the majority of those that live there don't want to be a part of Canada. Perhaps the reason it is not getting any attention because it is not as sexy as "Global warming". Freezing to death is not sexy, but the planet burning up is hot! We see all kinds of articles about the ice melting and new record lows, but then they "forget" to mention that at the end of the warm season the ice actually surpasses previous levels. Yes it is different in certain areas that is true, but nowhere on the planet is climate exactly the same. It is just common sense to most of us that the sun has a more profound effect on climate than opening too many pops on Saturday afternoon by the pool. But if there is no crisis what would they do? They might have to actually get a job. The media jumps all over a story if there is death or danger involved, but fails to provide the same bravato when proven to be WRONG. One could find a dozen articles that say 2 exactly different view points on the same subject. No warming compared to we're burning up!. Considering the fact that Billions of our tax dollars go into feeding this industry, and it is based not on fact but the mood of the day should cause us to pay attention. Carbon tax my ass, try putting a tax on stupidity.

After a weekend of family and reflection, it is ironic that today we go to the polls and decide our future. For how long is unsure and depends on a great many things. Throughout this campaign we have seen a lot of negative, and disturbing things. We have seen the name calling and insults by some parties rise to new heights. We have seen the media once again unable to respect it's own mandate, to report the news in an unbiased form.

One thing is for certain, we will have decided on a Prime Minister by the end of the day. I hope that we will chose someone strong, someone with the skills needed to guide us and represent us in these troubled times. And we need a leader that will look out for us.

In the event that they find Caylee’s remains it can be determined beyond a shadow of a doubt wether or not she had been drugged (potency, for how long, and length of time) through any remaining tissue samples and or possibly bone marrow. There is a machine which is extremely expensive and state of the art called a “Chromatograph/Tandem mass spectrometer”, this machine can determine most all chemical poisonings, be it perscription drugs or other, through liquification of tissue samples. This process can be performed by one of two places and experts…Marc Lebeau of FBI lab in Quantico TX. , or Kevin Ballard (PHD in pharmacology, also an expert in this liquification process).

Kevin is the director of research and development National medical services of Pennsylvania. The founder of the special process in which tissue samples can be broken down and liquified for testing. And also the expert witness on a successful poinsoning conviction in the state of Florida previously. Ballard helped through his testing and statements on the stand to convict head coronor/pathologist “William Sybers” in the poisoning death of his wife. In this case the fatal drug was succinylcholine. So Florida is no stranger to where this research specialist can be located to run test..should they find Caylee.

My best advice from a lab perspective would be to officials in the event they find Caylee’s remains..would be that given the fact that we can only forsee BB making a stink of any testing being done in Quantico by the FBI lab, assuming he would make a stink saying it would only be bias to his client for the FBI to test, they should go right to Ballard in PA..as their second opinion, for Ballard is the founder of the process to liquify and to determine just what drug or poison was in any given case of murder. This machine can determine amount & longevity with accuracy if performed by an expert in that clinical background.

And Florida should definitely remember Ballard from the Sybers case because they convicted him on that testimony and machine usage.

The temperature across the world changes with the addition of humans, buildings, concrete, and general inceased population and development. One cannot provide data like this without taking in to account all the other changes in the same area, or you get a distorted view of what is happening.

As anyone can tell from scrolling through my blog that not much of it is in a personal vein. I don't like having my personal life out in public, I suppose that's why I'd make a lousy public figure. But this is also a forum for me to get things off my chest and act as a diary of sorts even if it's just for me to look back on and say " oh yeah I remember that". My life has taken a drastic turn recently almost all of it due to an old injury that is returning. I was injured at work a few years ago at work and required surgery. That in itself may not sound all that tragic, but what that involved was a huge strain on me, my wife, and my family. After I was injured I was unable to work due to pain and then the medication to control the pain. The pain kept getting worse and therefore the drugs to control it kept getting stronger, until I was in a wheelchair forced to sit in the kitchen while my wife (all alone) tried to look after our (then)3 children and one newborn daughter. All that while still working part time and looking after my needs as well. I wonder if she will ever really know how much I appreciate her, what she did, what she sacrificed, and how much I love her and admire her, for her strength and ability to handle so many things. And finally(after a year of tests)I had surgery to correct the bulge in my disc that was pressing the sciatic nerve against my spine. After the surgery I went home the very next day, pain free. I felt like a new man, almost born again for I had been in constant pain and waking up everyday in agony for as long as I could remember. Suddenly it was all gone. Though I had to endure a recovery period ahead, including not even holding my new born daughter, It was better than the pain and suffering. A week later I started feeling ill, cold sweats, hot flashes, vomiting, having a fever but be freezing cold, uncontrollable shakes. I finally ended up in the civic emergency room unable to cope anymore. I was there for 8 hours, vomiting in a bag. And seen by no one but the admitting nurse. Finally I gave up, ripped the IV line out of my arm and called my wife. Holding a brown paper towel over the IV hole in my wrist, bleeding, standing in the lobby in my housecoat and slippers, shaking, very sick, waiting for my wife to pick me up. Once home I called my family doctor and explained what was going on. They asked what the hospital had prescribed for me after the surgery. I said nothing. They were dumbfounded. For over a year I was taking very high doses of narcotic medication for pain, and since I had stopped cold turkey I was going through withdrawl, like a junkie. he told me to come down right away and within an hour I was feeling much better. Fast forward to a year ago. Another new baby girl and a new job. The pain starts returning, at first I try to ignore it and deal with it, doing my best to hide from my wife, and work. That didn't last long. As the pain got worse again the drugs got stronger. Missing work for doctor appointments, missing work because I'm just in too much pain. the latest MRI shows I have the lower injury returning and now an upper disc has developed a bulge as well. And so begins the battle with WSIB to see if it is related. Today I can no longer work because the medication has been increased to a point that I can no longer drive safely. That's a joke, I should have stopped driving months ago when I was on percocets, but I could handle it. Then I was on a stronger oxycontin, I could handle that, it just seemed to handle the pain. But now with the morphine and codeine contin I can't. I almost rear ended a tanker truck. Right then and there I took myself off the road. So now I can't work, I don't know when I am going to have surgery, The bills have been piling up for months, the hydro might get cut off, our phone has already been cut off. On my way home from the food bank today my car blew a front tire, and I drove home on the rim because I cant afford a tow and I really have no other option. Great, thanks. Excuse me while I lose it a little bit. And I suppose it's a daily wonder now what will happen next. The mortgage is due next week, and really at this point we don't have many options and the kids are stressing us out and my wife and I are on a wire. If I was a praying man I'd be on my knees, but with my luck lately, someone would just kick me.

That's what our aquatic friends may be trying to tell us if the "scientists" have their way. Apparently now C02 is being absorbed into the ocean and this is causing the noise levels to rise. All the boring yada-yada can be seen here and begs the question. If the scientists can't prove there is even such a thing as global warming, or green house gasses doing any harm, then how can we believe that our underwater roomates are going to need ear plugs?

As reported in the cbc this morning Stephane Dion is going to be feisty and more aggresive. Did he just realize he was in an election campaign? Apparently this is because they are "heading for the leadership debates", I thought there was still an election first.Oh wait, he wasn't talking about the Liberal Leadership debate! haha. At this stage in the campaign the best thing for Dion is to start looking at the want ads, landscaping might be a good start as that's the only green he'll managing and he can cut instead of spend. One has to carefully consider the democratic process and how it is supposed to work, in the minds and spirit of how it was created, to understand the gravity of such a statement. Strategic voting. Using ones vote not for beliefs or support but as a "tool" for anothers satisfaction or gain. Basically as a "form of currency". In essence, selling your vote. If a party can not get elected on it's platform or it's leaders integrity then they should not get elected, period. If the Canadian voters want a "Liberal-NDP" coalition then we will ask for one. To do so after the fact and go to the GG and ask to form a government is tantamount to Canada being "occupied" or "invaded" by a political party. They were NOT elected by the Canadian people. And they do not, should not, and can not, ever, rule us, if WE didn't elect them. THAT is what democracy is. Any person that would suggest, support, or be part of this does not believe in democracy. This is a corrupt strategic manipulation of free choice. That sounds disturbing. That sounds like something to be ashamed of. In Canada? No thank you.

Many of us have listened to this for years and have had to endure the double standards and appeasement to the province of Quebec. Now I am at the point that I do not believe it will ever be enough, and that the time is fast approaching for the province of Quebec to make it on it's own. There are people that will say that this is terrible. Why? The amount of money we will save overnight will be tremendous. The number of jobs that will be available in the public sector after abolishing the bilinqual act will be enormous. It's a win win for us. I say bye bye Quebec and no more handouts.

I stopped for a moment and thought. This is almost like something out of a movie. As everyone is concentrating on something else this is going on. And could be, what. End of the earth? Disaster? Nothing? I don't know. But as scientists search deeper into the unkown the risk to all of us gets greater. Perhaps some things are best left alone.

We are now making plans for our summer getaway. Our very first family vacation. We are going to camp for a week at Jellystone park near Hamilton, and visit marineland, and Niagara falls. I will be our youngest girls very first camping experience and we are very excited about takingthem. But how many people were in the office basically doing the same thing, but only 1 person really doing the work. What a waste of money. SO, My wife decided to call and hook up new cable and internet with different provider. It's a little cheaper and offer some incentives for switching. Sounded good. Ok. So today the guy shows up to do the work, but tells us no internet just cable. OOps! Someone made a mistake. Would they fix it? No. We'd have to rebook. On top of the guy being really rude we were disgusted by the lack of customer service and we we're not even a customer yet. Needless to say we did'nt switch.
